DWTS ~

Ok...first and foremost i'm going to just tell you that i'm not a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars. I haven't watched all the seasons. I may have caught an episode here and there over the years. But this season when i heard the line up i had to watch! Ralph Macchio! Yes the Karate Kid was one of my favorites growing up! He is number 1 on my leader board. Why? Cause he isn't the best dancer but because he tries so hard and wants this so bad. Who is my number 2 on my personal leader board? KRISTY ALLEY! That girl wants to win this and has some good moves. She won my vote last week with the Foxtrot!




This has been my favorite dance all season! :o) That girl can move! Those two are great together. In my heart i hope those 2 are the top winners. But i know this is DANCING with the stars not Which star do you like the best. So i'm guessing that Hines or that Chelsea girl will win it.

Now on to the REAL reason i watched last night. NKOTB BSB! I would be lying if i didn't say i LOVED seeing New Kids On The Block again. WOW! What a great blast from the past! I was so excited! And i know i wasn't alone on that one. :o) If you didn't see it....well here it is. :P



I didn't even mind that they are collaborating with Back Street Boys. It was just great seeing them again. YEP! I'm a big dork! The performance was great though!

Oh Happy Day ~

Just alittle bragging on my little girl. Finally the day has come! My little girl used the potty 2 days in a row. ALL DAY! Number 1 and #2! Hip-Hip Hooray! It has been a long time coming. She wanted it to be all her. She wanted to use the "BIG" potty all this time. And now that i know....fine by me! I can't believe how excited i am about poo in the potty! I can't believe i'm talking about it out loud. We were visiting a friend yesterday and during lunch she said she had to go. Then she announced to all the folks at the table that she went POTTY and SANITIZED. Haha! At church i make her sanitize her hands after she goes potty and now that is her favorite word. AND now that she is going....little brother wants to go potty too. Maybe his training will go alittle better. I'm already letting him sit and go....on a pink princess potty no less.....HA! I need to get him his own. But for now....he can go all he wants. :o)

A Girl and a Dress ~

My sweet little girl loves it when i make her something. But her obsession lately is dresses. She looks threw my patterns all the time and last week she found a dress that she just HAD to have. I have been wanting to make this dress for her for quite awhile. And now that she has seen it she won't let me forget that she love it and wants one. So last week i sat down one day and cut the pattern out. Let her pick out some fabric she liked...which by the way she made sure that the fabric she picked out was just like the fabric the dress was made with on the pattern. :o) I think she did a great job. I cut the fabric and late Saturday night i put the finishing touches and Voila........... Her new "KNOT" dress. And yes...i do own a iron. Actually a quite awesome iron that i just bought cause the one i had was 11 years old {wedding gift} and just quit one day of old age. BUTTTTT my darling little girl wanted to wear it and sleep in it Sunday and i forgot to take a picture of it when i freshly ironed it for church. Soooooo you get to see it like this. It is still CA-ute! :o) I really liked sewing this dress. It wasn't hard at all and went together pretty smoothly. Instead of buttons you just make the straps longer and pull them threw the button holes and tie in a "knot". LOVE! I have a few more "versions" of this dress that i want to make for her this summer. The great thing about this dress is that it will grow with her. She can wear it for atleast 2 years. The pattern comes with a cute ruffle capri and purse. She REALLY wants that matching purse. :P

Love Notes for my Son ~

This is mostly for me. My sweet little boy. You are growing up way to fast, i ponder how we got here. You are at that sweet age were your little personality is coming out and you are showing me the sweet little person you are. People are so right when they say little boys have a special place in their mommy's heart. You have me wrapped around your little finger and I'm not going to lie... i love that i'm number one in your life. You always want your mommy and i'm the only one that will do. I really hope that doesn't change anytime soon. Don't get me wrong...you love your daddy and sister very much but it is me you run to for comfort. Your at that age that you do or say something new every day. Right now you love to jibber jabber but you have a few words that you do know how to say. MaMa, Dada, bye bye, night night, not cool, NO, Yea, what doin', No, come, your big sister's name, grandma, mine and No. The words NO and MINE you mostly say to your sister. Speaking of your sister she loves you very much. And you love her too. You two get along so well together. And i'm savoring every moment of that. I'm not looking forward to the fighting years. Just the other day i found you playing kitchen with your sister. She was sitting at her table demanding you to bring her some coffee and you did just what she asked. You were sitting beside me the other night watching some t.v. and turned and looked at me and patted my shoulder and mumbled something {i'm pretty sure it was momma your the best} and smiled. My heart melted. I have been asking you to smile for mommy for a few weeks now and you give me the sweetest "fake" smile i have ever seen. It is only for a brief moment but i love it. I make you do it for anyone that will look. You love to shake everyone's hand at church. You like to give people "high five" and also a "pound/pound". HILARIOUS! You love to eat.....anything! Your favorite right now is Chinese and Mexican and bananas. You have a few favorite toys....your sisters baby doll that cries...you tell it "shhhhh", your fire truck and your sisters kitchen. Your daddy and i think you might be a chef some day cause you are always playing with your sisters kitchen. Your not very adventurous and are just now starting to enjoy the outdoors. You have a Buzz Lightyear riding toy that keeps you super busy outside. Your drove yourself all over the driveway and picked up quite a bit of speed. Whatever your sisters doing...your doing it too. You both keep me on my toes. You are trying so hard to pee pee in the potty. And i'm praying that you will potty train in the next couple of months. We are enjoying you so much and you are cracking us up more and more everyday. You are such a funny little man. We love you our Sweet Baby Boy.

Sewing for a Cause ~

It's 2:00 p.m. and i'm on my 4th cup of coffee for the day. I really wish this one had a double shot of caffine in it. :-P Speaking of coffee....have you seen this????

Hello, new love of my life. If you know me personaly then you know there is a special coffee house out there with my favorite coffee in the WORLD! And well i'm hoping that this new International Delight flavor {limited edition *sigh*} is a hit and turns into something they keep around. Right now i'm wondering if i can freeze 100 cases of this so that i don't run out. HEHE!

We have been working away on the kitchen remodel these days. Moving right along. About to get ready to TILE the floor. Hubby isn't looking forward to this step at all. I'm just glad for any step that doesn't include drywall or mudding!

Or sanding. My house is so dusty! I dust at night and by morning...a new coat is sprinkled all over everything.

I finally made time sunday afternoon to get in some sewing. There is a cancer center close by that is need of donations of Blue pillow cases for the patients because they are givin to only one person for the duration of their treatment and not reused. I can sew a pillow case so i signed up. And i pumped them all out yesterday while the kiddos slept and the hubby started in on the flooring.

Here are the first few i made....i will be making more every chance i get. They are always in need and except donations at any time. So here is my chance to use my talent for a good cause. :o)

Mommy cut my Hair ~

Is it just me or is this weather for the birds? It is just rainy and cold and blah and making me a lazy bum! I don't want to get up and dressed for the day i just want to stay in my jammies and bum around. Wednesday i had to get up and dressed and get the kids out the door cause baby boy had a doctor check up. YUCK! He just had 1 shot to get this time...thankfully! He is up to 28 pounds already! We got our shot and made our way to the Mall. Belk was having a great sale and i wanted to get a new pair of Flip Flops for this summer. And Yellow Box flip flops are so cute and comfy! Snagged me a pair for $17 bucks. :o) I pay alittle more for these flip flops cause they stay looking nice longer than the $3 ones from Old Navy. But don't get me wrong...i have 15 pair of those hiding in my closet...hehe!

That day little girl also asked me to cut her hair. She has been asking me for awhile now but i ignored it cause i loved her long locks. But alas she was in need of a trim. I have NEVER cut her hair and so i decided 3 years and 3 months was long enough. Time for a trim. I got out the scissors and i no kidding started tearing up. I brushed her hair and tied a rubber band around the bottom with about 3 inches and off it came. :( She was beaming with excitement and i was sobbing like a big baby. Here it is ....my baby girls first lock of baby hair. Off to her baby book it goes.

She looks so cute with her new hair cut. She had to call everyone and tell them about her new do. I'm happy that she is happy...but she looks just to grown up for me. As mentioned last week....here are a few pictures of {slow} kitchen process. But it is coming along. I'm gonna start with this picture. Folks it is driving me crazy that this is on my back porch. Better the back than the front ...yes i know...but it is still there. Can't you just hear the Intro music to "Sanford and Son". We have lots of Drywalling to do..... Hubby rewired and installed some lighting.....

He also did some plumbing.....

And here is the start of dry wall going up..... :) Now that makes me happy. For now anyway....i know what job i have coming up....MUDDING!

The room has more drywall up now and i'm preparing myself for the mudding and sanding coming soon.

Then we have to work on the ceiling and prime and paint and molding and trim and paint and install cabinets. Our projected finish date is somewhere in June.....HA! No not really funny at all. Let me tell you...i will be so glad to have a stove and dishwasher back.
