Mommy cut my Hair ~

Is it just me or is this weather for the birds? It is just rainy and cold and blah and making me a lazy bum! I don't want to get up and dressed for the day i just want to stay in my jammies and bum around. Wednesday i had to get up and dressed and get the kids out the door cause baby boy had a doctor check up. YUCK! He just had 1 shot to get this time...thankfully! He is up to 28 pounds already! We got our shot and made our way to the Mall. Belk was having a great sale and i wanted to get a new pair of Flip Flops for this summer. And Yellow Box flip flops are so cute and comfy! Snagged me a pair for $17 bucks. :o) I pay alittle more for these flip flops cause they stay looking nice longer than the $3 ones from Old Navy. But don't get me wrong...i have 15 pair of those hiding in my closet...hehe!

That day little girl also asked me to cut her hair. She has been asking me for awhile now but i ignored it cause i loved her long locks. But alas she was in need of a trim. I have NEVER cut her hair and so i decided 3 years and 3 months was long enough. Time for a trim. I got out the scissors and i no kidding started tearing up. I brushed her hair and tied a rubber band around the bottom with about 3 inches and off it came. :( She was beaming with excitement and i was sobbing like a big baby. Here it is ....my baby girls first lock of baby hair. Off to her baby book it goes.

She looks so cute with her new hair cut. She had to call everyone and tell them about her new do. I'm happy that she is happy...but she looks just to grown up for me. As mentioned last week....here are a few pictures of {slow} kitchen process. But it is coming along. I'm gonna start with this picture. Folks it is driving me crazy that this is on my back porch. Better the back than the front ...yes i know...but it is still there. Can't you just hear the Intro music to "Sanford and Son". We have lots of Drywalling to do..... Hubby rewired and installed some lighting.....

He also did some plumbing.....

And here is the start of dry wall going up..... :) Now that makes me happy. For now anyway....i know what job i have coming up....MUDDING!

The room has more drywall up now and i'm preparing myself for the mudding and sanding coming soon.

Then we have to work on the ceiling and prime and paint and molding and trim and paint and install cabinets. Our projected finish date is somewhere in June.....HA! No not really funny at all. Let me tell you...i will be so glad to have a stove and dishwasher back.
