And every once in a while you will see a patterned tile like this. There are 4 different patterns sprinkled around. We didn't do this for every smaller tile....thought about it but it looked to busy.
Here is a pic of the sink cabinet. We bumped it out and added legs. LOVE! Makes it look more like a piece of furniture. Sorry...can you see the dishes in the sink. Yeah, i'm to lazy i mean busy to wash them before a picture. HA! Anyway...the hubs painted the legs and i glazed them to match the cabinets.
Here is a big splurge we made. The sink faucet. I wanted an all in one sprayer and well....we paid for it. But i wanted something nice and this one got the best reviews.
Here is a sneak peek of our granite. It looks so good with the color of cabinets we have. It is black with some gold and green.
We have 2 glass door cabinets on each side of the sink window. And it forces me to keep things neat and tidy. But it really looks better i think....more open.
And here is our latest project. The window seat. I'll be glad when it is done....i'm going to be making the seat cushion. A little nervous about that.

I picked out our dining room chandelier. When i picked it out it had a price tag of $149.99. But when the hubby finally went to purchase it it was on a bigger sale. He came home and said i have a surprise for you. I got you the chandelier you wanted. Can you guess how much i paid for it??? I was thinking it went off sale. But it actually went down to $80 bucks! Now THAT made me hap, hap, HAPPY!! :o) I also wanted a medallion for it too. I had the hubs paint it the same color of the cabinets since the ceiling was white and i wanted it to stand out. After he painted it i glazed it too.
Here is the medallion in the beginning of the glazing process. For the record....this took several hours. This was not a easy glazing job. I just couldn't get it to look right. But in the end....i love it and i'm so glad i spent the time to do it.
Now for more painting and glazing. HA! I found this buffet on Craigslist. I have been wanting a buffet for a long time and i wanted one that i could paint and make it my own. I sanded this puppy in 100 degree heat...NOT fun! I {and when i say i ...i mean the hubs. He has a spray gun.} painted it a soft blue....actually it looks kinda silver. Then i took my glaze that i have been using and brushed it over all the crevasses.

The detailed scrolly thing was added. I thought it was kinda Plain Jane so i picked these up at Lowes for $10 for both.
I also picked up some BLING BLING! Don'tcha just love the glass knobs??
The glazing really makes this piece. It makes all the detail stand out.
Here is the only before picture i have.

You should be on one of the HG TV shows. The buffet looks amazing!!!
the glazing you talk about - is that what gives the peices the antique look?
well thank you very much Melinda! :o) and yes. the "glaze" is what makes it look antique. i have a previous post that has a pic of the glaze bottle i used. it is from Lowes. just kinda highlights the details and just gives it that something extra. i plan on doing a post showing a step by step glazing process. just not sure when that will be but someday soon hopefully.
It looks beautiful!! Everything does. In fact, I'm thinking I should do the glaze on the rest of Paige's furniture. Great job!
